A month before their wedding day, Alex and Luis met me at Manito Park in Spokane, Washington for a warm, peaceful engagement session that felt exactly like them, relaxed, loving, and full of goofyness! This engagement session was seriously so fun, and getting to capture their silly, whole heart love for each other is why I adore my job!

Engagement sessions right before the wedding have a special kind of magic. The excitement is real, the connection feels settled, and there’s a calm confidence that comes from knowing you’re exactly where you’re meant to be. This Spokane engagement session captured that season perfectly.

Together Since Pi Day
Alex and Luis have been together since Pi Day of 2014, and their relationship is built on balance, partnership, and shared experiences. They love traveling together, especially road trips, and over the years they’ve taken several cross-country trips to visit family and friends across the United States. Hint hint, their wedding was not local!
Their road trip routine is tried and true: Luis drives, Alex navigates and handles the wallet! It’s a system that works, just like they do!
After moving to Spokane in 2020, life slowed in the best way. These days they’re happy homebodies, spending time with their three cats, enjoying their own hobbies, and being together in the same space. That ease and comfort showed up so naturally throughout their Manito Park engagement photos, and with the calm, easy going guidance I provide my couples during their time with me, their true relationship came out naturally on camera!

A Romantic Engagement Session at Manito Park
Manito Park is one of the most popular and beautiful locations for engagement photos in Spokane, and for good reason. The variety of scenery makes it ideal for couples who want their session to feel peaceful, natural, and unforced. And since I grew up exploring Manito, I know all the best spots!
We started near the Manito Park duck pond, where the atmosphere was calm and playful, then made our way through Lower Manito, surrounded by trees, winding paths, and soft fall color. We finished the session in Upper Manito, where the light filtered through the trees and wrapped everything in a warm, romantic glow.
For couples looking for a Spokane engagement photographer, Manito Park offers an incredible mix of greenery, walking paths, and quiet corners, all without ever feeling rushed or overly busy. I can pick the perfect spot to highlight your love and relationship, or, you can pick from my location guide featuring spots all over the Spokane and CDA area, totally your choice!

Warm, Peaceful, and Effortlessly Loving
Alex and Luis wanted their engagement session to feel warm, fun, peaceful, and loving, and that vision guided every part of their shoot. Their session wasn’t about stiff posing or big gestures, it was about connection.
Walking hand-in-hand, soft laughter, quiet smiles, and leaning into each other came naturally. Their relationship doesn’t need to be loud to be powerful, and that kind of love photographs beautifully.

A Spokane Engagement Session Just Before the Wedding
Photographing this Manito Park engagement session just one month before Alex and Luis’ wedding made it even more meaningful. Engagement photos at this stage capture a rare in-between season, calm, grounded, and full of anticipation. And, giddy excitement.
Alex and Luis, thank you for trusting me to document this chapter of your story. Spokane fits you beautifully, and your engagement session was a perfect reflection of the life you’re building together.
