When summer hits Spokane, WA, there’s nothing more magical than long golden evenings in wide open fields and along the Spokane River. This engagement session with D + T was the perfect mix of those golden vibes and adventurous views you can only find in the Inland Northwest.

These two picked their locations straight from my exclusive engagement session location guide (one of my favorite perks I offer all my couples!). We started in a tucked-away field in North Spokane, the kind of place where the grass sways in the breeze and the sunlight filters in just right. Then we made our way to one of my secret spots at Riverside State Park’s Bowl and Pitcher area. I actually found this spot a couple years ago riding my dirt jumper, and fell in love! This lookout is a bit of a hike, but that’s part of what makes it so special, it’s quiet, breathtaking, and totally worth the effort.

Their Story

This sweet couple actually met in the most unexpected way, working at Papa Murphy’s in Hayden, Idaho. And here’s the twist… they didn’t even like each other at first! But time has a way of working its magic, and somewhere between shared laughs and shared pizzas, things changed.

Four years later, with countless adventures, dances in the kitchen, and road trips to new places, D proposed in the Fall, at one of their favorite spots. It’s the same location where they had a few years before, which made it even more meaningful.

The Session Vibes

The first location in North Spokane was all about that playful, warm summer light. We wandered the field, laughing and taking our time, letting them be exactly who they are together, easygoing, playful, and completely in love.

Then came the adventure. We headed to the Upper Bowl and Pitcher area in Riverside State Park, where I led them to my favorite hidden lookout. The hike up is quiet, and when you finally step out and see that panoramic river view it’s moment that sticks with you forever. The sun dipped low, the mountains shined, and we just soaked it all in.
